2019

Just when it felt like 2018 was never going to end, here we are in 2019! Far fewer flying cars than we were anticipating, but we made it all the same.

As this is the first blog on my new site, I’ll keep it brief since we’re just getting to know each other. My hope for this blog is that along with the occasional update on my latest projects or general think pieces, I can eventually provide worthwhile content and advice to anyone trying to break into writing for comics pulling from my own experience and naive mistakes made along the way. There’s a LOT I wish I knew when I was first starting out that I had to learn the hard way. And hey, I’m still learning new tricks along the way and I hope to never stop!

As far as what’s on the horizon for me in 2019, I am very excited about all the new projects I’m working on, starting with my very first crossover series launching in February from Dynamite and IDW Publishing — ARMY OF DARKNESS/BUBBA HO-TEP

As a longtime fan of Bruce Campbell’s work, I’m very excited and honored to help bring two of his most iconic roles (Ash and Elvis, respectively) together for the first time! This is a love letter to Campbell fans everywhere, so I hope we can live up to expectations of what a first meeting between these should be like. It’s gonna be groovy!
